Life Update!

It's been quite busy in the LeBlanc household!

Operation "Moving to Alabama" is well underway and going along as smoothly as we could hope. We have a few little things to get done (i.e. packing cloths, getting a good cleaning done, and touching up paint, etc) before it hopefully goes on the market next week!  With that said we are also trying to get things ironed out for Daniel to move at the end of the month.  He's decided that he's going to "camp" out in the new house until I move down in August since the relocation company only covers us moving once. I hope he doesn't like it too much :) It's crazy to think he's going to be starting his new job in just a few weeks.

The other crazy thing is that in a little over 30 days I will be a getting a new job!  I will be the CEO of La Maison de LeBlanc!!!! Yep, you read that right - I will be CEO of my house :)  It's hard to think that after almost 5 years of working corporate America I am getting the luxury of being a stay at home wife & mom.  I never in my wildest dreams thought I would be able to take care of my husband and baby full time but I guess that's God's plan.

On an additional exciting note we found a place to live!  It's a 2100sqft house on a private road and has a ton of charm and character!  In addition to having enough space for our gowning family it also has a huge yard for the pups and a ton of porch space for us to enjoy the outdoors - including a covered patio!! Needless to say we are all excited to be moving in! I am so excited to get there so I can take some photos since I haven't seen it in person yet! I know, I know, I actually let Daniel go down and see if it was worthy for little Eloise while I was at my baby shower in Shreveport!

I also have to say that I am starting to really get the itch to start this whole "nesting" process!  I just woke up one morning and realized that with all the things we have going on I am going to blink and I will be going into labor and I won't have anything taken care of for our adorable little Eloise. Needless to say I am working on getting it all figured out. Initially, I was really apprehensive about getting an espresso crib but once I went onto PB kids and "created my own crib" I saw that I loved how her bedding looked in it!  The photo to the right is VERY similar to what her bed will look like, but it will be a sleigh style crib instead.  Isn't the hot pink adorable with the espresso?! I am hoping to have her crib, changing station and bedding purchased and in her new room no later than the end of September, just in case she comes early!

Another exciting update is that I have finally been able to get our travel system!!!  After much debate and my wishing that we would could afford the Britax B-Ready stroller system we've decided to go with the Chicco Keyfit 30 in Romantic! As much as I LOVED the Britax B-Ready it was just really hard for me to justify spending $600 on a stroller system (this was with a promo to get the free infant seat with the purchase of the stroller) when I am not going to be working anymore. I am impressed with the ratings and really am pleased with the different features of the stroller system - the car seat is one of the top rated ones and the stroller is a one handed close, which I think is really important...In even better news it's going to be here tomorrow!! Yay!

Since I will be taking care of the family once I move, I've really tried to figure out what "hobby" I want to take up to help keep me occupied when little Eloise doesn't need me.  After much thought I have finally  decided on what to do!  I will be taking up photography.  A couple of things brought me to this decision... First, I haven't been able to find a photographer that I like that is reasonable so I figured if I got a good SLR camera I could figure out how to use it and take my own.  Secondly, I LOVE to create photo books, scrapbooks, etc. but I haven't ever had the time to do it.  But I figure that now I will have the time since I will be at home!!  Lastly, I would love to start my own business one day and I can't think of a better one to be in.  So, needless to say when Daniel surprised me with my Canon Rebel T3 (with a telephoto lens, a regular lens, camera bag, battery and memory card) I was over the moon excited!!! I've already started to play around with it and am loving it!

Well, I think that's as big of an update as I can give today! :) Have a good one!

Exciting News (X2) !!!

Well, I am clearly an failing at keeping up with a blog... I honestly think it's because I just can't seem to find the time to write due to the fact that I am SO busy these days...

First - Many of you reading this all ready know that I am PREGNANT!!! :)  Yesterday we found out that our little one is a GIRL!!!  We couldn't be more excited or happy!!  Her name is Eloise Elizabeth and she is just SO beautiful all ready! I am SO excited to start finding her adorable little headbands with HUGE flowers and bows and setting up her adorable nursery!  We have decided to go with the Pottery Barn Kids Petite Paisley Nursery Set for her room with the Catalina crib in espresso.  I cannot wait to get everything so that I can post photos of what it looks like!  I have a feeling she is going to be one GIRLY girl!! :)

Secondly,  the LeBlanc family has a HUGE announcement (in addition to baby Eloise).... We are moving in late August/Early Sept to Gadsden, AL.  Yes, you read that right - we are moving.  I have to say that this wasn't the most ideal time for us to be leaving with the baby on the way and all, BUT Daniel was given an opportunity to interview for the ACFO position at Gadsden Regional Medical Center and he got it! So needless to say the next few months are going to be CRAZY for us!!  I am really excited about being able to start this new chapter in our lives and get settled down again....  Hopefully, I will blog a little better from now on...
